Tooth Extraction

Tooth extraction is a common dental procedure involving the removal of a tooth from its socket in the jawbone. It's often necessary when a tooth is badly damaged, infected, or impacted, or to correct overcrowding. The procedure can range from simple extractions, where the tooth is visible and easily removed, to surgical extractions, which may involve incisions and bone removal.

Signs you May Need a Tooth Extracted:

Severe Toothache: Persistent, intense tooth pain can indicate a problem that might necessitate extraction.

Gum Inflammation: Swollen, painful gums around a tooth can be a sign of an issue that may require extraction.

Infections: Repeated infections or abscesses in the same tooth can indicate the need for removal.

Impacted Teeth: Teeth that haven’t erupted or are growing at odd angles may need extraction.

Orthodontic Needs: Teeth may be removed to create space for orthodontic treatment.
